Correlation

Cross asset correlations have collapsed. It seems that the macro-driven “risk-on/risk-off” market may have come to an end and is now being replaced by the most differentiation market in 15 years. Implied correlations, the measure of how closely the performance of individual stocks mirrors that of the index itself, have fallen to their lowest since October 2007 after peaking in 2011.
